Running a business is like being a mother in a lot of ways; so much effort and care; so many plates to spin; so much lost sleep. Anyway, today it is a privilege to celebrate all the Mamas of Astrid, so many of whom are my friends. So far, it’s been wall to wall sunshine, blue sky and big boxes of pastries. We’ve got flowers everywhere; all the dads and kids are queuing up for treats to take home, and my brilliant team of bakers and baristas (in both shops!) are run off their feet. It’s such a buzz and I think I might be addicted, which is just as well really ♥️
